Trócaire's Annual Fundraising Campaigns
Trócaire 24 Hour Fast

For more than a decade, people have taken part in the Today FM/Trócaire Fast where they stay off food for 24 hours and collect sponsorship, as an act of solidarity with the world’s poorest people.
The Fast is organised each year in association with leading Irish radio station,Today FM and receives nationwide support from individuals, schools and businesses. During this time we also encourage those for whom fasting is not possible to organise their own fundraising event, large or small to raise funds as an alternative to fasting.
Lent
Lent is Trócaire’s most important fundraising and campaigning period. Each year, Trócaire’s Lenten campaign highlights particular challenges facing people in the developing world and encourages the public to take action through campaigning and by raising funds through the Trócaire box.
During Lent, more than one million Trócaire boxes are distributed to households throughout Ireland and people are encouraged to make a donation through the box. On an annual basis we are ever grateful for the tremendous support we receive for our Lenten campaign, which has such a significant impact on the quality of work we are able to carry out in developing communities on behalf of the Irish public.
Global Gift Plan

From supplying pigs for families in Colombia to much needed tools and seeds for farmers in Southern Africa, Global Gifts makes a tangible difference to thousands of lives each year. This award winning project is now one of Trócaire’s key fundraising events and gifts can be purchased throughout the year, in addition to during the Christmas period.
Mobile Phone Recycle Appeal

Working in partnership with Kavanagh Environmental, Trócaire's Mobile Phone Recycle Appeal looks for unwanted, used or faulty mobile phones.
Each year, Trócaire distributes Mobile Phone Appeal bags to every household in the Republic Of Ireland. For every phone donated, a minimum of €3 will go to Trócaire’s work in developing countries.
However, depending on the condition and original value of your phone as much as €20-€30 per phone could go to to Trócaire’s work. In addition, all the costs of the project will be covered by Kavanagh Environmental.
If you would like to donate your old phone, and have not yet received your bag, please:
