El futuro de la alimentación y retos de la agricultura para el Siglo XXI

This Trócaire-supported research, conducted by researchers from the University of Guatemala, compares agroecological farmers to semi-conventional ones in the Western Highlands of Guatemala.

The results show that agroecological farms are on a path to greater resilience and enjoy better incomes.

Accompanying the report is a video showing one such farmer visiting fellow adopters of eco-friendly systems to see how they are doing. This work is supported by Trócaire's dynamic partner, Red K’uchubal in Western Guatemala, which promotes agroecology and supports farmers to find and develop local markets for their produce.

The report is in Spanish with an abstract in English. The video is also in Spanish with English subtitles.
